Douce Ambiance — 'sweet mood' — is one of Django Reinhardt's most elegant minor themes: a warm, lyrical piece rather than a showpiece.
The sound — minor-key and singing, it lives on colour more than speed. The melody floats over a gentle swing, and minor-6 voicings give it that mellow manouche glow.
