Roadmap
Haute Gitanerie is a living project. Here's what's next and what I'm considering — much of it driven by your feedback. (Everything that's shipped lives in the What's New panel.)
Coming next
- Community licks — short playable phrases recreated on the neck: hear them, transpose them to any key, drill them, and propose your own for others to learn.
- Audio on every arpeggio, lick and phrase — hear any shape, not just chords (arpeggios already play; licks and phrases next).
- Endless practice cards — pick a theme (scales, chord tones, arpeggios) and drill as long as you like, made for the metro.
- Declutter — hide the panels you don't need so the neck and chords get more room.
- Lick mastery grid — see each lick across all 12 keys, from untried to solid.
- Finalising the diagonal fingerings still marked in progress.
Considering — vote for what you want next
- Make your own quiz — members author quizzes for everyone (a Django trivia, a gypsy-jazz-scene category…), all sharing the same play screen.
- Custom fingering for a scale or box position — set the shape the way your hand wants it.
- “Practice this” playlists — run one of your playlists as a guided session.
- Reharmonisation & substitution ideas — tritone subs, minor-for-dominant, the manouche moves you can drop in.
- Extended & altered chords: 9 / 11 / 13, ♭9, ♯11, ♭13…
- A collapsible neck and drag-to-loop on the grille — less scrolling, quicker looping.
- Sign in to sync your progress across your devices.
- Optional practice reminders — a gentle nudge, never guilt.
- Gentle rest cues while you drill — short breaks between reps, a breather after 20 minutes (research says it sticks better).
- A map of the players.
