Overview
Haute Gitanerie is a free interactive tool for gypsy jazz guitar. We collect as little as possible and never sell your data.
No cookies, privacy-friendly analytics
This site sets no cookies and runs no advertising or cross-site tracking. It uses Vercel Web Analytics — a cookieless, privacy-friendly measure of aggregate traffic (page views, referrers, country) that never identifies you individually.
Your language, theme and favorite chords are saved in your browser's local storage, on your device only, so the tool remembers your preferences between visits. This data never leaves your device and is not sent to us. You can clear it anytime from your browser.
Community features (voting)
When you upvote an idea on the roadmap, your browser sends our API an anonymous, randomly-generated id (kept in your local storage) together with your vote — only to record it and to show you what you already voted for. Still cookieless.
To keep votes fair and block abuse, the API also derives a one-way hash of your IP address. We never store your raw IP; the hash cannot be reversed to identify you and is used solely to prevent duplicate voting and spam (a legitimate-interest, abuse-prevention purpose).
Affiliate links
The Gear page contains Amazon affiliate links. If you click one and make a purchase, Amazon may set its own cookies on its own domain and we earn a small commission at no extra cost to you. That activity is governed by Amazon's own privacy policy, not ours.
Hosting logs
The site is hosted by Vercel Inc., 340 S Lemon Ave #4133, Walnut, CA 91789, USA. Like any web host, it may keep standard technical logs (such as IP address and request time) for security and reliability, per the host's own policy.
Your rights & contact
Under the GDPR you may request access to, correction of, or deletion of any personal data. We store very little on our servers — essentially anonymous roadmap votes — so there is little to act on, but for any question, contact haute-gitanerie@pm.me.
